Happy Bday Rakim

You didnt think the R only got down on the mic now did you?

When heads get into HipHop they usually get inspired by one art form and move on that. To the serious students of Hip Hop they usually get down with more than one aspect. Time and again I usually tell people the greatest way to elevate the art form you are great at is by trying out other art forms that all relate -its all HH in the end. You never know, you might just be dope at it, or at the very least you’ll find inspiration from trying new things. Most pioneers i’ve come across and how I learned was that every aspect was relevant so we would try it all out.

You may be great at one particular thing, but it never hurts to come out the woodworks with another skillset. Artistry and Hip Hop for that matter has no boundaries.

Salute to Rakim on his born day….forever CLASSIC!
